Yes! Many of our fountains are completely safe for your furry family members. Our standard ceramic fountains use pet-safe materials and can be enjoyed by both you and your pets - perfect for curious cats, thirsty dogs, and small indoor pets.

For sealed fountain bases:

Some of our fountain bowls are sealed with Flex Seal for waterproofing. Please check your product description to confirm whether your specific fountain uses Flex Seal.

Important information about Flex Seal:

• Flex Seal Liquid (once fully cured) is listed by the manufacturer as safe around plants and animals​
• However, Flex Seal is NOT approved for drinking water or food contact applications by the manufacturer​
• While some aquarium and terrarium hobbyists use cured Flex Seal Liquid in non-drinking water applications, its safety for pet drinking water has not been officially tested or approved​

Our recommendation:

• If your fountain is sealed with Flex Seal and noted in the product description, we recommend using it for decorative purposes only and not as a primary water source for pets
• If you want a pet-safe drinking fountain, choose one of our unsealed ceramic base fountains (check product descriptions)

Unfortunately, we don't currently offer battery-operated options for our custom tabletop fountains. Our designs specifically require 80 GPH (gallons per hour) pumps to create the perfect water flow and visual effect. While we've extensively researched this possibility, battery-powered pumps currently available on the market can't consistently maintain this 80 GPH requirement, and solar alternatives would require panels larger than the fountains themselves, which defeats the purpose of our space-saving tabletop designs (not to mention that the panels require being in direct sunlight to power the pump).
